Templar Armor

Available Armor

Cloth, Leather, Chain, Plate, Shields

What armor to wear

Plate equipment are the best gears in Aion and being a Templar, you’ll have the privilege of being the only class aside from the Gladiator that can wear Plate armor. Templars can also occasionally use chains, if ever they find ones with greater stat boosts while leather or cloth won’t be that much of help. Though shields don’t give defense boosts, they do offer damage reduction at a certain percentage and allow Templars to execute shield-exclusive skills. Having shields will also allow you to take advantage of additional manastone slots which you can use to further increase your defense or shield defense ratings.

Class Features

  • Ability to equip plate armor which offers the best protection in the game
  • Enhanced resiliency and survivability compared to other class
  • Considered as the main and best tanking class in the game
  • A balanced set of offensive and defensive skills that will ensure the protection of the party while dealing damage.
  • One of the most popular and in-demand class for group raids, quests, and PvP / PvE situations

Overall the templar is closely related to the glaidator class and many will face the decisions: Templar or Gladitor. Templar vs Gladiator. Choose wisely because both characters have their own strengths and weaknesses.

Stigma skills

Stigma Skills

Since Aion has a balanced character system gameplay, it doesn’t matter whether you’re an Elyos or Asmodian templar – your default skill tree will still be the same. However, with the inclusion of the Stigma system, players will gain access to more abilities not normally learned from skill manuals by equipping Stigma Stones and customize their characters with their own set of chosen skills. The irony however, is that late in the game, players tend to use the same builds and stigma skills since they’re proven to be quite effective.

By default, characters can only have 5 stigma slots. They start with two equippable slots and as the character’s level increases, more slots become unlocked. Late in the game, certain quest lines late will unlock three additional “advanced stigma slots”. The advanced stigma slots can both hold ordinary stigma stones or the new advanced stigma stones. However, you can’t place advanced stigma stones to ordinary stigma slots.
